In Diergaarde Blijdorp, you come face-to-face with lions and giraffes, the smell of the elephants permeates deeply into your nostrils, and mouths gape open at the sighting of a bat-eared fox. A visit to the zoo is a boundless journey of discovery and a wonderful enhancement to nature and environmental education. And we are happy to help with that! Our lessons, tailored to the year level, challenge students to observe, investigate, and discover. Our ready-made packages are very accessible and make a visit to Blijdorp a treat for students, teachers, and supervisors.
For a secondary education outdoor lesson, you pay €7.50 per person for the 2023/2024 school year.
The municipality of Rotterdam supports Blijdorp in its educational goals and makes an annual educational subsidy available to achieve these goals. One of those goals is to introduce every Rotterdam student to the zoo and its residents. To support schools within the Rotterdam borders, we offer Rotterdam schools a 50% discount on an educational visit.
